The annual Cooroy Fusion Festival is a celebration of local artists, entertainers, artisans, food, community groups and much more. In 2020 it will be held on Saturday 9th May from 9am – 3pm.
The festival will be held at the Apex park, Lower Mill site, Cooroy Library, Butter Factory Arts Centre, CWA Hall & Cooroy Memorial Hall. It is a fusion of community events combining the annual show of the Noosa District Orchid & Foliage Society and the Lifeline Cooroy Denim Sale as well as the Cooroy Bendigo Bank Entertainment Tent, rides for kids, community group stalls and sensational food & market stalls.
Cooroy Library houses classes, presentations and demonstrations all day ranging from Tai-Chi for the young at heart to Lego for the kids plus a great literary component with a book sale and authors signings. The Butter Factory Arts Centre also houses workshops and exhibitions.
The Cooroy Fusion Festival really does have something for everyone so make sure you save the date for a great family day out. We look forward to seeing you there!
Cooroy Fusion Festival
The story so far
The first event was organised by Sunshine Coast Regional Council in 2010 to celebrate the opening of the Library. The Festival has been held annually, now under the organisation of Cooroy Future Group Inc (previously the Cooroy Lower Mill Board Inc) by a fantastic committee of community volunteers. If you’d like to help out and volunteer you can register online!
The Cooroy Fusion Festival has grown with the support of event partners Noosa Council and the Cooroy Community Bank Branch of Bendigo Bank as well as many local sponsors to be a showcase of the Noosa Hinterland including Cooroy Library, Butter Factory Arts Centre, Noosa District Orchid Society, Cooroy Camphor Laurel Group, Cooroora Woodworkers, local food, crafts, arts and entertainment galore!
