The annual Cooroy Fusion Festival on 13 May is a showcase of everything wonderful about the Noosa Hinterland. Pickled Possum is one of firm favourites with festival goers but it isn’t a local delicacy, it’s the name of the festival bar!
“The Pickled Possum Bar is situated in an ideal location with a great view of the entertainment on the Bendigo Bank stage and all the surrounding crowds throughout the markets. This year thanks again to the sponsorship of Cooroy RSL we’ll also be hosting a special sponsor’s and volunteer’s hospitality event in the Pickled Possum Bar so it really will be the place to be and be seen!” explained Chris Bell, Chairperson of Cooroy Fusion committee.
“We couldn’t resist sponsoring something as iconic as the Pickled Possum Bar at a fantastic community event like Cooroy Fusion Festival. This event is all about the community and what the wonderful Noosa hinterland has to offer which is something we feel passionate about at Club Cooroy RSL. The volunteers that run this event should be applauded, as it’s a great free day out and we hope to see you there!” said Cooroy RSL manager, Tina Mayfield.
Cooroy Fusion Festival is run by the Cooroy Future Group Inc and couldn’t be produced without the support from festival partners Noosa Council and Cooroy Community Bank Branch of Bendigo Bank and sponsors Greenwood Grove, Cooroy Chamber of Commerce, Cooroy Supa IGA, Club Cooroy RSL, Suttons Cleaning Service, Raine & Horne, Wimmers, John Maddill Toyota, Gelignite Jacks, Cooroy Service Centre, Mower & ATV Solutions, Cartwrights Lawyers, Fiona Winter Realty, Palm Lake Resort, Chapmans Auto Repairs, McDermott Aviation, Max Watterson & Associates, Firefly Solutions and Sunsign Coast.
