“We had a Geckoes Wildlife show last year and it was so popular we thought we’d expand it this year and thanks to Greenwood Grove’s sponsorship we will have a stage show as well as a display and the opportunity to get up close and personal to some wonderful wildlife as they walk around the festival,” explained Chris Bell, Chairperson of Cooroy Fusion committee.
The Geckoes Wildlife team have a wide range of specialist skills and knowledge in the environmental area such as endangered species, fauna friendly backyards and wildlife corridors so it isn’t just great fun to see the animals but a valuable learning experience for all ages too!
“The green corridor bordering Cooroy Creek running through Cooroy from one side to the other is a wildlife blessing, a natural wildlife corridor. Greenwood Grove shares a border with this green open space and is only a short 5 min walk to the town centre. What is so good about living in Cooroy? It’s a vibrant hinterland township with strong community values, an incredible array of sporting, shopping, cultural and educational facilities, yet only a short drive to Noosa Heads, the beach and National Park. The developers of Greenwood Grove are excited to be a major sponsor of the Cooroy Fusion Festival this year and also the Geckoes Wildlife show,” said Rob Midgley from Greenwood Grove.
Cooroy Fusion Festival is run by the Cooroy Future Group Inc and couldn’t be produced without the support from festival partners Noosa Council and Cooroy Community Bank Branch of Bendigo Bank and sponsors Greenwood Grove, Club Cooroy RSL, Cooroy Chamber of Commerce, Cooroy Supa IGA, Firefly Solutions, Noosa Today, Cooroy Family Practice, Wimmers Soft Drinks, Cooroy Rag, Cartwright Lawyers, Suttons Cleaning Services, Fiona Winter Realty, Palmlake Works Pty Ltd, John Madill Toyota, Hinterland Dental Group, Cooroy RACQ Service Centre, Mower & ATV Solutions, Gelignite Jacks, McDermott Aviation, Heel Sit Stay, Max Watterson Associates, Wythes Real Estate, Hinternoosa Real Estate, Cooroy Hotel, myMemories on DVD and Sunsign Coast.
